Veragua Foundation

Protecting Biodiversity and Empowering Communities

The Veragua Foundation, established in 2013, is dedicated to researching and protecting Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest while promoting sustainable community development. Through on-site scientific research, it advances global knowledge on climate change and species preservation.

Beyond conservation, Veragua Foundation and its sister organization, Veragua Rainforest, actively support local communities by creating jobs, protecting water sources, conserving forests, and providing elementary education in rural Costa Rica.
